If the window has a two-window mode, then how to determine the active one? If I do a search or highlighting or put a marker, how do I determine which window to put it in?

NPPM_GETCURRENTSCINTILLAwhich will tells you the active instance (either the first or the second HWND) -
With the clicks in different windows, I get the same values for wParam and lParam

I did read the previous post and the other forum you linked to. From the looks of it someone already answered your question…so again I don’t know what the problem is.
When you state “I can not do”, this does not tell me why you can’t do it…therefore I can’t help you.

Of course I read and tried. I do not like to talk much. If it turned out, I immediately wrote that this code works and posted the new version.
