If the window has a two-window mode, then how to determine the active one? If I do a search or highlighting or put a marker, how do I determine which window to put it in?

Take a look at this page. You’d be interested in NPPM_GETCURRENTSCINTILLA which will tells you the active instance (either the first or the second HWND)

I did read the previous post and the other forum you linked to. From the looks of it someone already answered your question…so again I don’t know what the problem is.

When you state “I can not do”, this does not tell me why you can’t do it…therefore I can’t help you.
