      Hi Team,

We’ve encountered an issue while upgrading Notepad++ from version 8.9.3 (x86) to 8.9.4 (x86) using the EXE installer.

      Issue:
The application files are successfully upgraded to version 8.9.4, but the previous version’s ARP (Add/Remove Programs) entry is not removed. This results in duplicate/coexisting entries in Programs and Features.
      Observations-
Issue is specific to x86 EXE installer.
x64 EXE and MSI installers work as expected (no duplicate ARP entry).
Older versions (prior to 8.9.4) upgrade correctly without leaving stale entries.
Upgrade performed using the same admin account, so permissions are not a factor.
Only the ARP entry remains—application binaries reflect the upgraded version.
      Test environment-Windows 10/11 virtual machines.
