Uninstalling 8.5.1 throws error

Hey everyone,
while updating Notepad++ in our Software Deployment, i just noticed that the uninstall will throw an error about “NppModernShell.dll” not beeing found.
The uninstall will complete successfully however. Noticed this on Win10 Enterprise 22H2. Anyone else?

Got a Win10 Enterprise 21H2 and getting same thing. Uninstallation is successful but gets pop up saying NPPModernShell.dll not found.

same problem here.
it works on my win11 machines, but on the win10 machines i receive this error during uninstall.
the uninstaller tries to unregister a dll file which is not existing on that machines.
i guess it is about the new context menu handler for win11. so that dll is only existing on win11 machines.
it looks like the uninstaller is just trying to unregister without checking if it is existing or if it is win11 or win10.
so please check and fix the uninstaller routines. -
