crashes when trying to open network folder

When I want to open a file from a network folder that has 4000 files, it is blocked looking for all the files.
I just want to put the name of the file directly, but it starts looking and does not let me write (it hangs)
Thank you very much. I just can not work like that.

Do you have this issue just with N++? How behave other programs on trying to open a file from that folder?

just with N++.
open other files in the same network with notepad(windows), Excel, explorer… works perfectly.
