Create new file? dialog. How to disable prompt?

We have an automated process that attempts to create and populate a text via Notepad. Now that I’ve used NotepadReplacer to make Notepad++ the default, Notepad++ is getting called instead of Notepad, and the Create a new file? dialog appears. This breaks the process. I want it to always create the new file.
Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? How can I disable this check?
