      Hi, why is Notepad++ not available on Linux? I know there’s a clone called NotepadQQ, but I want a real, clean, natural Notepad++, not some obscure clones. or is it very difficult to port this program on Linux?

        many of us use notepad++ on linux using wine with full success.

        note: the recent releases of notepad++ version 7.x and above are currently classified platinum on wine, which is the highest compatibility rating for applications on wine for linux.
