32/64 bit puzzle

I wanted to add the Compare plugin to my Notepad++. So I went to http://docs.notepad-plus-plus.org/index.php/Plugin_Central and downloaded and installed this plugin.
And then my Notepad protested that this was a 32 bit dll that it could not run.
The puzzling thing is that nowhere on this page or elsewhere in the documentation did I find anything on 32/64 bit versions. So I am just lost on the question whether there might somewhere be a 64 bit version that I can use.
Can anyone enlighten me on this issue?
