      on w8-32, when I fresh intall npp 7.5, all I get

      1. folder C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins
        APIs folder which has 20 xml files
        disabled folder which is empty
        mimeTools.dll
        NppConverter.dll
        NppExport.dll

      2. folder C:\Users***\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\plugins
        config folder which is empty

      at the time of installation, I didn’t change any default at all,
      I didn’t tick on “don’t use APPdata”, nor on “allow plugins to be installed from…”

      page https://notepad-plus-plus.org/resources.html reads
      “- Plugin Manager plugin is included in Notepad++ release. It gets jobs done very well.”

      but the Plugin Manager is not installed by npp installer, so how do I get plugins downloaded from server?

      Also, the page http://docs.notepad-plus-plus.org/index.php?title=Plugin_Central reads

      How to install?
      Usually, the only installation procedure plugins require is to
      place the dll in the plugins subfolder of the Notepad++ install folder;
      place any configuration file it comes with in plugin\config
      preferrably, place all documentation files in plugin\doc, or in some subfolder of it

      please note that it mentioned a “plugin\config” and “plugin\doc”, which are not even created by npp installer, which has created an APPDATA “plugins\config” folder, there is an additional plugin"s". doc folder is not created anywhere.

      so the wiki itself is contradicting the installer creation.

      When I click Setting - Imports plugins
      it accesses only my current harddisk, meaning I should have downloaded and kept plugins somewhere. That means a new user will not be able to install even plugin-manager, so he can’t get any plugin.

      it has become very cryptic.

      Something is wrong in npp installer. it doesn’t do said actions.

      Thanks.
