I’m new at CNC coding (G/M-code) and using Notepad ++ for editing! I’m not sure of the proper terminology in explaining my questions. I have 3-4 Axis CNC Router (Mill) with a MASSO G3 Computer/Controller.

      1. Can I setup Note Pad ++, so the code being edited is on the left and a list of reference G/M-code functions w/ examples on the right side? Kind’a like ‘Pick & Place’ insertion into the code being edited.

      2. What is a popular style for typical Indentions, Highlighting, Colors for different elements? How is it setup as a default Notepad style?

      Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Billy

@grievousangel-wtj Have you seen the gcode add-on for Notepad++ https://ncnetic.com/notepad-gcode-plugin/

It’s for G-code while you mentioned G/M-code. I don’t know if that makes a difference.

As I don’t have a CNC I don’t know if the plugin offers the coding help features you are looking for.
